Maud game was switched to East End due to a waterlogged park. Maud had their new management in place for todays game. The visitors wasted a good chance to go ahead but Fraser shot straight at keeper Ellis. The home side broke quickly, and it needed fine tackle by Thornton to save the day. Fyfe then made a fine saved from a shot by Reid. Todd tried a shot from 25 yards which Fyfe did well to save low to his left. Smart and Sargent both had shots go wide of the goals. Ellis came out to gather but dropped the ball when under pressure from Smart, but Johnston was on hand to clear upfield. Last action of the first half was a turn and shot from Sargent but it was straight at Ellis.

HT 0–0

Maud started on the front foot and a great ball by Smart out wide to Norris and his cross was drilled across the 6-yard box but there were no takers in the middle. Thornton drove forward and played in Smart whose shot only found the side netting. A Thomson free kick was headed inches wide by Lawson. The match turned when a long ball over the top of the Maud defence which Reid ran onto and drill past Fyfe. The same played brought a fine save from Fyfe but Hassanein was there to net the rebound. Maud rallied, and Thornton and Norris combined but eh latter shot hit the side netting. Red was played through by Murphy and as he rounded Fyfe he was felled in the box resulting in a penalty which Murphy converted.

This was a game that Maud's missed chances in the first half came back to haunt them. Maud next fixture is on Saturday 1 December away v Monrose Roselea in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko.
