Subs: Andrews GK, Robertson, Norris, Fraser, Thornton

Maud travelled to face Dyce Juniors in awful conditions snowing throughout the game. Maud keeper Fyfe was first to be in action punching clear under pressure. Maud were slowly taking control of the game and a fine passing move involving Smart, Mackie and finally a shot from Chicken went well wide. Yeats header over from a Coyle corner. Maud had a big let off when Taylor headed down from close for it to come back off the crossbar when he should have scored. Great work by Mackie on the right as he ghosted by the defender and his cross was deflected for a corner which came to nothing. From a Coyle corner Bartlett's header was heading for top corner where Fyfe made a brilliant save. A quick free kick by Hall who split the Dyce defence for Chicken to cross a ball inside the 6-yard box, but Wallace made a vital clearance. Just on half time Maud went in front when a corner by Chicken was headed home by Mackie.

HT 0–1

Maud started the second half well and a neat through ball by Mackie found Smart whose shot was well blocked by the Dyce defenders. A Dyce attack saw Taylor with a looping header come back off the bar. Some good linking play by Smart and Mackie with the latter having his shot saved at the front post by Reid. Crisp with a clever through ball to Smart who ran in on goal and his shot beat the keeper but also the post. A Smart shot from 18 yards was well gathered by Reid under difficult conditions. Maud extended their lead when a Crisp header found the net from a Hall corner. Fyfe made a double save from a Dick shot then a follow up shot by Bartlett. From a corner Dyce pulled a goal back when a Crisp header flew in to the top corner for an own goal. This gave the home side a lift and substitute Esslement fired home a second to level the score and a point each. This was a game that Maud must rue the chances they had at 2 nil in the match.

Maud next fixture is on Saturday 23 March home v Culter in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2pm ko.
