Maud travelled to face Dufftown for a place in the Semi Final of the McLeman cup up for grabs. The home side started better than the traveling Maud and earned a free kick just outside of the Maud box which saw Coull strike the post and Main was first to react to prod home. From the restart a long ball forward was miss judged by the home keeper McIntosh as the ball bounced over him and Bremner was on hand to level the score. Watt was waste full with a couple of chances failing to hit the target after some good wing play from Main. At the other end a Kenny Mair corner was met by the unmarked Thomson who headed Maud in front. Hale set up Bremner but the winger made a poor effort with McIntosh saving. From a Dufftown corner Crisp handled inside the box for a penalty. Johnston fired in the penalty but Fyfe got down low to his right to make a brilliant save. Minutes later Fyfe again reacted well to turn over a deflected shot to keep the away side at the break.                    HT 1 - 2

From the start of the second half Sargent broke down the left and he sent a dangerous cross along the 6 yard box which was just too hard for the inrushing Hale. Clark was unlucky with a header from a Hall corner When it was blocked on the line. Bremner went close with a strike from the right side of the box. Maud went further ahead when a stunning strike for manager Alan Hale from 20 yards. Fyfe made a fine save from  a strike by Coull. Maud went on to control the game in the middle of the park and played out the remaining time unscathed. Maud now have a home tie in the Semi Final against Stonehaven with the date still to be confirmed.                    FT 1 – 3
