Maud welcomed Culter in another league game and the visitors started well pinning Maud back in their own half and it came as no surprise that the visitors broke the deadlock when Horne fired in at the back post on 6 minutes then minutes later Willie Mathers added a second with an easy finish.  Maud hit back when they were awarded a soft penalty. Smart took the pen which Buchanan saved but the referee made Smart take it again as Culter players approached the box before it was taken. Smart made no mistake second time around. This gave the home side a lift and a Norris shot came back of the post with Buchanhan stranded. After a good spell for the home side Culter hit back firing two more goals before half time with Horne firing in from 25 yards and Ex Maud player Duguid with a neat finish.

HT 1–4

Into the second half and Culter struck again with their fifth goal of the game when an overhead kick by Horne found the bottom corner from a cross by McGregor cross. Substitute Fraser was played in on goal but miss kicked with just the keeper to beat. Buchanan easily saved a free kick from Thomson. A neat through ball from Ritchie left Fraser with another good chance which was wasted. Culter were gifted a sixth goal when an attempted clearance went straight to Dunbar and he made no mistake with his finish. This was a bad day at the office for Maud and will need an improved performance next week in a vital league game against Stonehaven in the Superleague with a 2pm ko.
