Maud welcomed Colony Park on a very heavy pitch without the suspended Davidson and Conway, Maud could only field 13 players. The away side took an early lead when Hinks raced down the right and his cross was put in at the back post by McKay. Minutes later Colony had doubled their lead when a shot by Adam Morrison 18 yards out was deflected past the stranded Ritchie.

Ritchie got down well to save at the feet of Mitchel. Colony were well on top and it took a last-ditch tackle by Stainton to prevent another goal. A long ball forward was headed goalwards by Masson which was easily saved by Colony keeper.

The away keeper held at the front post as Masson put him under pressure. At the other end a third goal came when Mitchell cut in from the left and his shot beat Ritchie at his near post. Ritchie made a fine save turning a Clark shot onto the post and away.

HT 0 – 3

The second half as the first half did and Crisp headed over from a corner. A Clark shot came back off the post as Colony drove forward. Maud were finding it hard to create an opening with the final pass going astray.  Craig Gill made it 4 nil to the away side after he had all the time in the world to control the ball inside the box and slot home.  The same player scored a fifth goal 5 minutes before the end and then Clark scored a sixth in injury time to round off a good performance for the visitors. Maud got off to the worst possible going 2 goals down but made far too much errors throughout the game and caused very little effort on the away goal.

Maud next match is away to Banchory St Ternan in the Superleague on Saturday 1 February 2pm ko
