Maud travelled to faced Colony Park in a league game with the hope of picking up some points and Maud won an early corner which was well defended. The home side rallied with Cochrane who laid back to Bonarius whose first time shot went close. Clark wasted a good chance after a great through ball from Dorrat. The game turned in favour of the home side after Fraser was red carded for a wild challenge. Ritchie made a comfortable save from a Cochrane shot from the edge of the box. The home side were soon in front after good word on the ball line by Mitchell and his cross was put in at the front post by Cochrane. Good defending from Crisp prevented a second goal. Bonarius late ditch tackle prevented Goodlad getting his shot away inside the box. A poor touch by Humeniuk let Cochrane in and he rounded Ritchie to score into an empty net to double the home side leads lead.

                                   HT 2 – 0

Colony started the second half on the front foot and thought they had scored a third goal, but it was chalked off for Offside. Dorrat fierce shot was well blocked by Stainton inside the box. Cochrane should have had his hatrick, but he blazed high from 8 yards. Ritchie in the away goal made a good save from McKay from close range. A rare venture forward by Maud ended in an over hit cross from the right. A mistake by Lowden let in Substitute Cowie who blazed his shot wide. Killoh combined with Douglas and the latter brought a fine save from Ritchie in the Maud goals. This was another poor effort by Maud whose cause wasn’t helped with Fraser being sent off in the first half. They will need a big improvement next week with a return match against Colony park in the McBookie.Com Superleague 2pm ko
