Maud travelled to face Colony Park in a vital game for the visitors. Maud started well with shots from Wilson and Smith both dealt with by Grant. Maud went in front when a brilliant cross was whipped in by Wilson was met by Smart who slotted home. Duguid went close with a curling drive from 20 yards. Lawson was alert to a home attack making a vital challenge on Strachan. The same player found the side netting from a Ross corner. Smart should have scored his second but his header from a Whyte cross went inches past the post. Smart held the ball up well before setting up Ritchie for a shot which was held well by Grant. Smart doubled the visitors lead with an excellent finish from a Smith cross. A poor kick out was pounced on by Smith whose first time cross found Duguid who made no mistake with the finish.

HT 1-3

Smith was first to test Grant in the second half with the keeper making a fine save. Poor defending by Maud let in the visitors pulling a goal back when a Strachan cut back for McKay to side foot home. A through ball by Thomson to Smart who rounded the keeper but he shot was cleared by the back pedalling defence. Ross wasted a good chance with a free header from a Morrison cross when he headed wide from 10 yards. The injured Duguid who had a clash in the first half was replaced by Downie. Substitute Downie had a good chance when he was played through but went too wide and the chance was gone. This was a much better performance by Maud especially in the first half and could have scored a few more.

Maud next game is at Home v Dyce on Sat 8 April in the McBookie.com Superleague with a 2 pm ko
