Maud welcomed Buckie to Pleasure Park for a league game and the away side keeper Ferguson made 2 fine saves to prevent the home side taking the lead. A great ball across the 6 yard box by Duguid found no takers in the middle. Ferguson was in action again saving from Smart. The away side went in front with their first attack with Adam Scott slotting the ball home after a fine through ball. A Wilson corner was headed on by Duguid and Simpson came in at the back post but Ferguson made a fine block on the line. A Reid cross was tipped over the bar by Ferguson. Maud were pushing hard to level but found the Buckie defence making some fine blocks then on the break the visitors doubled their lead when Fyfe failed to hold a long ball and Sutherland put in from close a one two with Duguid and Smart ended with a Duguid shot going narrowly past the post.

HT 0 – 2

Maud hit back 2 mins into the second half when a Wilson corner was headed home by Thomson then a long ball by Fyffe fell to Smart who held off his marker and slotted home. 55 mins and the home side went in front when Wilson was fouled inside the box and Duguid sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot. Smart header went close with the keeper beaten. A goal keeping error let Duguid with an empty net to fire in number four. Smart wasted a good chance when played in by Duguid. M Guald was then red carded by the referee for a second caution. The home side scored a fifth goal as Thomson netted from close. Substitute Lee McDonald was just o the park when he sent Duguid clear and the striker netted his third of the day with a neat finish.

Maud started well but were caught pushing forward twice but a 3 goal blitz in 9 second half minutes gave them the lead and went on to win comfortably.

Maud next fixture is on Saturday 18 February away to Hall Russell in the Super League with a 2.00pm KO
