Maud faced Banchory in another home league match and the home side had the better of the opening stages but failed to create any clear chances. The visitors went in front against the run of play with a long ball over the Maud defence was latched onto by Buglass and he slotted past Fyfe. The away side were gifted a second goal when a poor clearance by Fyfe fell straight at Wilson who had an empty goal to score in. Duguid tried a shot from 18 yards but it was straight at Berton in the away goals. Downie sent a good ball across the six yard box but there were no takers in the middle then a Duguid cross was met by Downie but Berton was quick off his line to smother. Ritchie lashed at the goals but it went well wide.

Maud started the second earning a corner which Wilson swung in and Downie shot was saved by Berton but the winger should have done better. Maud pulled a goal back when a Wilson corner was headed in by Thomson. Buglass made a surging run down the left and his cross was cut out by Sculley. A long ball forward ended with a Duguid shot which was comfortably saved by Berton. A good move by Maud involving Duguid, Downie then a shot from Ritchie went well wide of the goals. Crisp missed a good chance to score from a Wilson corner but he failed to get his header on target. The match ended in another defeat for Maud who now have 2 games remaining and are assured Superleague football next year.
