Recently we completed the signing of Mark Lawson from Huntly FC.

Chris has played with Mark at a few clubs over the years and knows exactly what to expect from Mark, Chris says:

"Mark is a talented, loud, physical defender that will bring experience to what is a very promising young side. With the quality already in the dressing room, bringing in characters like Mark will raise every players game. There are now leaders all over the park at the club along with players like Gary Davidson, Rhys Fyfe and Craig Ritchie amongst others the squad is really coming together."

We have just completed the permanent signings of Sam and Arron from Keith, they were previously on loan so we would like to welcome them to the Club. Also Scott Falconer has also joined so we would like to welcome them to the Club and wish them all the best for the future.

Some good news with Kev, Grant and Steve alĺ signing contract extensions with the Club. Manager Chris said..

We are delighted that these three have extended their commitment to the club. They are all still relatively young but have already cemented themselves as top Superleague players. Kevin has had a rough 2016 with a persistent injury but as club captain has been influential with his input around the club even when not playing, now that he is approaching fitness again we can't wait to see him back on the park. Grant and Steve have both been outstanding performers so far this campaign, still continuing to improve and add to their game as the season has gone on now they are getting used to the new players around them. We have always made our commitment clear to keep this squad of boys together in the belief we can challenge at the top- I see this as a clear indication that the players realise the direction the club is headed in now also and believe they can win trophies together. Mon I Maud!

As promised earlier, some good news on the Transfer front with James Duguid making a permanent transfer back to us, I will leave this statement from Chris to let y'all know.

"We are delighted that James has decided to make his move to Maud JFC permanent this month, having been here for the first part of the season he has proven to be a natural goal threat racking up 15 goals in 13 games with us. Not only has he given a great return but he has scored IMPORTANT goals for us, giving us a bit of magic when we need it and forcing the ball over the line when things aren't going well for us- for me that is the mark of a top goal scorer.

He has ambitions to try and return to the Highland League at some point in his career but knows there are parts of his game he has to improve in order to return and play week in, week out. There is no doubt he has the potential and having worked with him for the past few months I am confident that if he applies himself, puts in the hard work and takes on the lessons that Mike puts into his coaching that he will reach his potential.

Maud have a strong dressing room at the moment full of players with experience and character, it is testament to them that top quality players can step into the club and enjoy their football like James has. The team is beginning to gel together now, although we have had some erratic performances they all see the potential in the squad and look forward to any top player arriving, providing competition for places and improving them as a group."

On behalf of the Club its good to see James back in the fold and doing what he has always done, score goals, and long may it continue !
